Niagara Artist Centre logo

Niagara Artists Centre is a member-driven collective built by and for Niagara’s working artists. Across its galleries, studios, events and community programs, NAC gives artists the space to create, exhibit, experiment and connect.

Challenge

NAC never stands still. Its website couldn’t keep up.

Solution

Create an expressive, self-managed digital platform that turns exhibitions, events and artists into structured content that can move automatically throughout the site.

Result

A website that is easier to explore, easier to find and dramatically easier for the NAC team to maintain – without ongoing third-party support.

Make the art the interface.

NAC needed a site with as much personality as the organization itself – one that could showcase wildly different artists and experiences without forcing them into a rigid visual formula.

We created a flexible design system with layouts shaped around the content they hold. Exhibitions, events, galleries, workshops and community programs each have room to tell their own stories while still feeling unmistakably part of NAC.

Enter it once. Use it everywhere.

The biggest transformation happened behind the scenes. We converted NAC’s exhibitions, events and other recurring content into structured fields, replacing repetitive page-building with a simpler publishing process.

The NAC team enters information once, and automated content feeds populate it wherever it belongs – from the homepage and gallery pages to event listings and archives. Updates are faster, information stays consistent and the site remains active without creating more administrative work.

The Niagara Artist Centre's website is open on a laptop.

The show goes on. The archive stays.

NAC needed to promote what is happening now without losing the work that came before it.

The new platform gives current exhibitions and upcoming events immediate visibility while building a lasting digital archive of artists, shows and programming. Filterable listings help visitors move through a large and constantly growing body of content without getting lost.

Built to be found.

Clearer navigation and a more deliberate content structure make it easier for visitors to discover NAC’s galleries, events, resources and opportunities.

Dedicated, indexable pages for exhibitions, artists and events also give search engines more meaningful content to understand—turning years of cultural programming into an organic-search asset rather than information buried inside the site.

A site NAC can run.

Built on Tymbrel, the website gives NAC complete control over its day-to-day content. The team can publish events, add exhibitions, update galleries and manage its archive without relying on a third-party developer.

For a social-profit arts organization, that independence matters. Less time and budget spent maintaining the website means more can go toward the artists, programming and community the website exists to support.

Let’s close the gap in front of you.
